Jake Klein is the founder and Non-Executive Chair of Evolution Mining, a leading Australian gold mining company he established in 2011 with a clear vision to create long-term value through safe, low-cost, and responsible mining. Jake has led Evolution through a transformative growth journey, positioning it as an ASX50-listed company with a market capitalisation of over $15 billion and widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading gold producers and among the most efficient globally.

Prior to founding Evolution, Jake was President and CEO of Sino Gold Mining Limited, where he co-founded and built the company into the largest foreign gold producer in China and an ASX100-listed entity. Sino Gold was acquired by Eldorado Gold in 2009 for $2.2 billion. Earlier in his career, Jake held senior roles at Macquarie Bank and began his professional journey at PwC.

Jake is widely regarded for his leadership in the mining sector, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering shareholder value through disciplined growth and innovation.

Tony Kiernan is a former solicitor with extensive experience in the management and operation of listed public companies. As both a lawyer and general consultant, he has practiced and advised extensively in the fields of resources and business generally. He is a Member of the Order of Australia.

Mr Kiernan currently serves as Chairman of Genesis Minerals Ltd (ASX: GMD). He has also recently served as a Director of Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS), Dacian Gold Limited (ASX: DCN), Venturex Resources (ASX: VXR), Northern Star Resources (ASX: NST) and Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited (ASX: SAR), and as Chair of the Fiona Wood Foundation.

Bob Vassie is a mining engineer with 35 years multi-commodity and international experience. Mr Vassie spent 18 years with Rio Tinto in global mining and resource development executive roles followed by MD & CEO positions in Ivanhoe Australia and St Barbara Ltd with a focus on executive leadership, resource development and business development including M&A.

Bob Vassie served as a board member for the Minerals Council of Australia from 2014 to 2020 where he chaired the MCA Gold Forum and currently serves on the AusIMM Council for Diversity and Inclusion. Mr Vassie recently retired from the role of Managing Director and CEO of St Barbara Ltd.

Sally has more than 25 years experience in professional services across a variety of sectors.  Originally qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, Sally moved into Executive search working closely with Boards and CEOs to advise on talent, succession planning, culture and organisation structure. Sally was the founding Partner for search firm Derwent Executive in Perth and spent 13 years in this role. Sally has spent the majority of her career focused on the natural resources and industrial sectors.

Sally currently sits on the board of Northern Star Resources, Sandfire Resources, The Gold Corporation, MMA offshore, Federation Mining, Ronald McDonald House and Hale school. Sally has experience in chairing Audit, Sustainability and Remuneration and Nominations committees.

Sally is a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia.

Sally takes an active interest in corporate culture, diversity and emerging ESG issues.
