Jim Askew
Mr Askew is an experienced mining engineer with more than 45 years’ international involvement in the industry as a Director and Chief Executive Officer for a range of Australian and international publicly listed mining, mining finance and other mining related companies.
Mr Askew was a founding Director of Evolution Mining, Sino Gold, Yamana Resources, Asian Mineral Resources, Ausdrill Limited, West Wits Mining and GoldenShamrock. Mr Askew’s other roles included Chairman of OceanaGold, Syrah Resources, PMI Gold, London Mining and CEO of Climax Mining, Golden Shamrock Mines (including subsidiary Ausdrill Limited), Black Range Minerals, Golden Star Resources, Endeavour and Rayrock Inc. His early career included founding James Askew Associates (now renamed AMC international consultants), Rock Instruments and James Askew Redpath.
Mr. Askew is presently on the Boards of Evolution Mining and Syrah Resources.
Bob Vassie - FAusIMM GAICD
Mr Vassie is a mining engineer with 35 years multi-commodity and international experience. Mr Vassie spent 18 years with Rio Tinto in global mining and resource development executive roles followed by MD & CEO positions in Ivanhoe Australia and St Barbara Ltd with a focus on executive leadership, resource development and business development including M&A.
Mr Vassie served as a board member for the Minerals Council of Australia from 2014 to 2020 where he chaired the MCA Gold Forum and currently serves on the AusIMM Council for Diversity and Inclusion. Mr Vassie recently retired from the role of Managing Director and CEO of St Barbara Ltd.
Romina Gaudion
Ms Gaudion is a corporate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions and investments work. She is currently the Head of Investments Legal, Australia at AustralianSuper and has previously worked at BHP for 10 years, in both Strategy and Business Development and in Group Legal. Ms Gaudion commenced her career at Herbert Smith Freehills as a corporate lawyer focusing on public market takeovers and equity capital market deals.
Ms Gaudion holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Sally Langer
Sally has more than 25 years experience in professional services across a variety of sectors. Originally qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, Sally moved into Executive search working closely with Boards and CEOs to advise on talent, succession planning, culture and organisation structure. Sally was the founding Partner for search firm Derwent Executive in Perth and spent 13 years in this role. Sally has spent the majority of her career focused on the natural resources and industrial sectors.
Sally currently sits on the board of Northern Star Resources, Sandfire Resources, The Gold Corporation, MMA offshore, Federation Mining, Ronald McDonald House and Hale school. Sally has experience in chairing Audit, Sustainability and Remuneration and Nominations committees.
Sally is a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia.
Sally takes an active interest in corporate culture, diversity and emerging ESG issues.
